About Me

Evergreen Johnson grew up here, there, and everywhere before settling into coastal Maine, fulfilling a childhood vow that one day she'd move to the state and become an author. Her first novel, SEABIRDS, is a love letter to the island of her family origin, a place that continues to call her home. 

She is the mother of two wonderful young adults and one very spoiled cat.

Evergreen is a graduate of the Mountainview MFA in Creative Writing program at Southern New Hampshire University. She also holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maine and an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts with an Art Focus from Southern Maine Community College.

After working in Special Education and Gen. Ed. settings for many years, she now dedicates her time to writing.
